Jesternofool is actually Gary Schafer, a now-retired US government electrical engineer with a background in technical security. He specialized in radio-frequency (RF) communications. He has an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and a masters in electrical engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He has worked with both analog and digital RF systems, signal analysis, digital signal processing, and has provided training in software defined radios using Gnu Radio. He was an instructor in the RF section of the Interagency Training Center (ITC) in Fort Washington, Maryland, USA for the last eight years of his employment.
