How to install a stable GNU Radio version 3.8 and gr-iio

  • download and install Ubuntu 20.04 - do not check "install third party software"
  • from a terminal enter:
   sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnuradio/gnuradio-releases-3.8
   sudo apt-get update
   sudo apt install gnuradio
